This is my new Dennis SS (I traded the other one in against it in May 2010 - you can see pics of the first one here). Like the previous one it was new to Warwickshire Fire Brigade, but this one is five years younger, being built in late 1991. The engine is an 8.3 litre V6 Cummins, but despite being slightly smaller and having two fewer cylinders than the last one it still generates 215 BHP. This appliance also has a four-speed Allison automatic gearbox and a built-in Godiva fire pump, but this one can pump up to a thousand gallons (that's four tons) of water a minute.
